The Year That Was

2014 just flew by, This message that I chanced upon continues to stay with me..

“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.
Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You're doing things you've never done before, and more importantly, you're Doing Something.

So that's my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody's ever made before. Don't freeze, don't stop, don't worry that it isn't good enough, or it isn't perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.

Whatever it is you're scared of doing, Do it.

Make your mistakes, next year and forever.” ― Neil Gaiman

So here is some wisdom I learned last year, some before the introspection and some after.

That it is alright to feel angry and upset and that it is better to express it, than hold the emotion back

When in a dilemma, it is good to sleep over it and the answer would turn out to be more rational than when you decide instantly.

Speaking the truth sets you free, even if makes you feel vulnerable and uncomfortable

That even in anger it is possible to give love  and when you do that, the love you receive back is magical.

That when you truly believe in something, the odds are mostly in your favour to make it happen. It is incredible how often this works!

That it is possible to love people beyond your family and friends and that this feeling is marvelous.

That you are here as part of a bigger pre laid plan and that you may plan lots of things yet what prevails in the end is what was meant to be.

That fear manifests into reality faster than faith. I mean, what you fear comes true faster, than something that you have faith in.

The experience of being in love is priceless

That facing a conflict can actually make a point and help you stand up for yourself forever.

That a simple vacation with people you love makes can de stress you much better than the high end ultra luxurious one.

It is easier to please someone else, than yourself, but the latter is far far more fulfilling

So here is wishing you all a Happy 2015 - A year that gives you memories to cherish forever.

Be naughty!!
